Charles Spurgeon Shrouded the Gospel in Occult Doctrine

Charles Spurgeon, who is marketed as the Prince of Preachers, was well aware of the effects of a perverted gospel:

 

There is nothing under heaven, I conceive, more liable to lead men astray than a perverted gospel. A truth perverted is generally worse than a doctrine which all know to be false.
