This
quote is found in Charles Spurgeon's sermon, "Rest" No. 866.(1) Charles Spurgeon's occult New Age doctrine, "Faith brings us into harmony with the universe" is opposed to God's word.
Spurgeon is making the Creator the same as the creation. This is PANTHEISM.
Jesus Christ did not die to reconcile us to God's creation—the universe.
Jesus Christ died to reconcile us to God. (Eph. 2:16)
Being in harmony with the universe is foreign to the Bible but is found in the occult and world religions such as: witchcraft, Kabbalah, Theosophy, Hinduism, Daoism/Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism, Islam and more.
(2) Spurgeon equated "the Divine One" with God and nature:
"we who were out of tune with God and nature are once more reconciled to the Divine One."
(The need to be in tune with nature is Pantheism!)
"The Divine One" is not the God of the Bible.
The Divine One is the God of: witches, Freemasons, Kabbalists, Theosophists, Hindus, Daoists/Taoists, followers of Confucius, Buddhists, Islamists, and more.
