Regarding Harry Potter:
What Does God Have to Say?
The following are posts I have
made to internet forums.
Every Harry Potter book is a cursed object. Devils are attached to
each and every book.
You may mock now, but when you lose your children to the world and the god of
it, you will strongly regret not heeding this somber warning. God is trying to prevent you and your
family from being spiritually destroyed by entering into fellowship with demons
via the doorway of the Harry Potter series.
God uses people to do his work. When a follower of Jesus is saying what God says in his
word, you need to understand God is attempting to minister to you through that
person.
The bottom line with the Harry Potter question and others like it, is simply
this: May a Christian rebel against God and do his own will rather than God's
will. May a Christian embrace occultic fantasies and be assured that the blood of Jesus will
continue to cleanse him from his sins while he stubbornly continues to walk in darkness?
May the children of the day run after the same things the children of the night
run after and have assurance the blood of Jesus is cleansing them rather than
being trampled?
May people who have "been delivered from the power of darkness" enjoy
the fellowship with the same darkness they have been delivered from as long as
it is in the form
of entertainment?
May the Christian, who is commanded to cast off the works of darkness, also
enjoy their presence in his imagination?
May the Christian, who God has commanded to wrestle against principalities and
powers, fellowship with the same in his imagination?
Will God accept a Christian's justifications for reading about works of darkness
when He has commanded him to not walk in darkness?
Is this of mixing darkness with light consistent with God's character, in whom
there is no darkness at all?
Will the blood of Jesus cleanse us from our sin if we refuse to walk in the
light? "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us
from all sin." 1 Jn. 1:7
What Happens When a Christian
Reads Harry Potter?
What happens
when a Christian reads Harry Potter?
He breaks the hedge, and the serpent bites him. See Eccle. 10:8
He disobeys God's command to abstain from all appearance of evil. See 1 Thess.
5:22
He calls what is evil good--if it is in the form of entertainment:
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil;
that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet,
and sweet for bitter!" Isa. 5:20
The Harry-Potter-reading Christian hopes that reading occult-themed books for
enjoyment does not qualify as
iniquity in the sight of God. Jesus will say to those who practice iniquity:
"Depart from me, ye workers of iniquity!"
There are large
numbers of people posing as Christians (witches) who are working
constantly in churches, Christian schools, Christian colleges, Christian
magazines, and Christian message forums and list servs trying to accomplish serious attitudinal changes
regarding sin within the
church. Relativism is the message: there is no such thing as absolute truth and
absolute sin. It all depends on how you view things! This is a Luciferian spin
on the Holy Bible and it is priming the church for the falling away.
