The DEFINED King James
Bible Blasphemy: Satan
Tested the Lord Jesus Christ!
The Bible For Today wants you to believe the Holy Spirit led
Jesus Christ into the wilderness to be tested by Satan. Tested means
qualified through testing; tried or approved by a test.
The King James Bible refers to Satan as the tempter.
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son
of God, command that these stones be made bread. Matt. 4:3
Let's look at the verses that say that Jesus was tempted by
the devil (Satan) and the definitions provided in the DEFINED King James Bible:
Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be
tempted of4b
the devil. Matthew 4:1
DEFINED King James Bible footnote:

And he was there in the wilderness forty days,

Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him. Mark

afterward hungered. Luke 4:2

Does Tempt Really Mean "Test" When Satan is Doing the
Tempting?
In Scripture, the word, "tempt" can, in certain contexts,
mean to make a trial of or test. An example of this is found in Genesis 22:1,
when God tempted (tested) Abraham:
And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt
Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
When God tempts a person, he tests or proves him.
When Satan tempts a person, he entices him to to
disobey God, often with the promise of reward.
The Bible For Today blasphemed the Lord
Jesus Christ by having their DEFINED King James Bible (via footnotes
(4b, 1c and 2b) falsely teach that Satan tested Jesus!
They
are presenting the reader with the Luciferian notion that Satan was in a
position of authority over the Lord Jesus Christ
—that he was in a
position of authority to qualify or approve him.
Tempt when applied to man, means to entice to sin:
"The word tempt, when applied to man, means to present motives or
inducements to sin: when used with reference to God, it means, to try his
patience, to provoke his anger, or to act in such a way as to see how much he
will bear, and how long he will endure the wickedness and perverseness of men."

Review
Satan never had the authority to cause the Lord Jesus Christ
to undergo a qualifying test! It is blasphemy for anyone to insinuate that Satan
ever had authority over the Lord Jesus Christ!
Satan tempted Jesus Christ by trying his utmost to get him to
SIN—to act contrary to the will of his Father in heaven. Jesus refused all of
Satan's enticements to sin.
In Scripture, when God tempts someone he tests him or proves
him.
In Scripture, when Satan is doing the tempting it means he is
trying to cause someone to sin.
