Judge Greer's finding that Terri was in a persistent vegetative state was not in accordance with the Florida statutes (as well as
many of his other actions in this case) and thus Terri is not truly a candidate to have her nutrition and hydration tube removed in the first place.
Also Michael Schiavo is not legally qualified to be Terri's guardian and thus make decisions on her behalf and his hearsay testimony that Terri said she would not "want to live like that" is not "clear and convincing evidence according to the Florida statues. It is for these reasons and many more that I am calling his court orders to cause the removal of her nutrition and hydration tube "apparently" legal. |
