Michael Pearl's
Description of the Fall: "They were enlightened . . ."
(Note:
Earlier I made the
incorrect
statement that the word, "enlightened," which is a positive term, is not found in the Bible.
What I should have said is the word, "enlightened" is not used in the
Bible in the
manner Michael Pearl used this term in his Good and Evil
illustrated bible.
The word, enlightened IS found in the Bible but it
does not refer to the fall of man into sin. Enlighten in the biblical sense means to be
illuminated with the knowledge of God:
For thou wilt light my candle:
the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. Psalm 18:28
Enlightened, as used in the Holy
Bible, is associated with God giving spiritual insight:
The eyes of your understanding
being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and
what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (Eph. 1:18)

Occultists use
the term, "enlighten" in the opposite way God uses this term in the Holy Bible.
Enlighten in the occult/New Age
sense means to be "illuminated" with the knowledge of Lucifer.
Luciferians believe that Lucifer
(1) is
the enlightener of mankind:
The bringer of light; the
opening of minds and the route to enlightenment.

Lucifer is the
embodiment of illumination or enlightenment.

Therefore, Luciferians (Luciferian
witches, Masons, etc.) equate
the fall of man with "enlightenment." In
fact, New Agers,
who are ushering in a New Age of Enlightenment,
regard the "fall of man" as the first step to
enlightenment.
(2)
One can understand why
Michael Pearl portrayed the serpent as regarding Adam and Eve's fall into sin as enlightenment,
but it is revealing that Michael Pearl as narrator, also used the term,
"enlightened" to describe Adam and Eve's spiritual state after they fell into sin.

Bible believers know that Lucifer has fallen and
is now Satan.
(2)
Enlightenment: A higher state of consciousness in which the person seems to
transcend his or her ego, and becomes aware of his/her divinity, and that he/she
is one with God.
